Education Support System designed for 350 children

To ensure uninterrupted learning for children undergoing cancer treatment, Niru Foundation is launching an Education Support Program designed for 350 children. The program provides study materials, personalized tutoring, and digital learning tools, empowering children to continue their education even during treatment and recovery.

By combining academic support with emotional encouragement, the initiative helps children maintain a sense of normalcy, purpose, and hope throughout their journey.

Program Components

The Education Support Program provides age-appropriate textbooks, notebooks, stationery, and digital learning tools such as tablets and e-learning subscriptions, ensuring curriculum-aligned content to minimize academic gaps. Children receive one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions with subject-specific assistance tailored to their individual learning needs. The program is scheduled flexibly to accommodate treatment timings. Learning is integrated with counseling and motivational activities to build confidence, resilience, and curiosity, while peer interaction opportunities foster social engagement.

Why This Matters

Cancer treatment often leads to long school absences, resulting in academic setbacks and emotional challenges. Education support for children undergoing treatment provides hope, normalcy, and motivation during difficult times, reduces the risk of school dropout and learning loss, and strengthens emotional well-being and self-confidence.

Impact

Through this initiative, 350 children continue their education despite cancer, preventing academic delay and ensuring smooth reintegration into school. The program helps build resilience, confidence, and a positive outlook for the future, encouraging long-term personal growth and independence.
