Non-Formal Education & Arts and Crafts at Niru Foundation
During extended hospital stays for cancer treatment, many children miss out on regular schooling. At Niru Foundation, we bridge this gap by providing non-formal educational sessions to keep their minds engaged and learning. These activities help children smoothly transition back to school while nurturing curiosity, mental stimulation, and readiness for the future. Alongside education, we offer art-based therapy including music, dance, painting, jewelry making, and crafts which supports emotional, mental, and physical well-being while empowering children to explore and express their creativity.
Guided by voluntary professionals, children and their families participate in these therapeutic sessions to connect with their inner selves and cope with the challenges of cancer treatment. These creative activities are more than just art, they provide healing, joy, and self-expression, bringing light and positivity into the lives of children and their families, while encouraging confidence, happiness, and resilience.
